This research, written by John Abbott, covers the raising of $12.5m in venture funding as well as the 'MyWorkspace Edition' of RES PowerFuse, launched in May. Some highlights from the research note:

• RES Software, which has tools to manage consistent user workspaces for terminal services and virtual desktops, has raised $12.5m in venture funding. It's the first outside funding the Netherlands-based firm has taken since it was founded in 1999.
• User workspace management is a hot topic, and RES Software says its revenue has been growing at an average annual rate of 63% over the past three years. In 2008, revenue reached around $24m. The money will be used to expand globally, particularly in the US.
• The 'MyWorkspace Edition' of RES PowerFuse, launched in May, lowers the cost of entry to the flagship RES PowerFuse product. It provides a consistent user workspace across Citrix, VMware or Microsoft delivery mechanisms.
