RES Software joins Microsoft System Center Alliance
Amsterdam, The Netherlands - November 12, 2009 RES Software, the leader in User Workspace Management software, today announced it has joined the Microsoft System Center Alliance to support personalized and secure user workspaces for Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) applications deployed with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2.
RES PowerFuse enables IT professionals to dynamically compose and manage a personalized and secure workspace for each and every user - separately from the user’s underlying applications, systems software, and hardware. The support of RES PowerFuse for Microsoft App-V applications deployed through Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 will allow IT professionals to decouple the user’s customizations from the underlying application delivery mechanisms. This process greatly simplifies IT administration, ensures compliance, and saves money.
“The combination of Microsoft App-V application deployment, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 and the dynamic composition and management of personalized and secure workspace using RES PowerFuse provides users the experience of a common and familiar workspace, no matter how the applications are delivered and regardless of the underlying OS.” said Ron Grevink, RES Software’s vice president of marketing.
“The integration of RES PowerFuse with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 gives our customers the power and control to automatically provide the right personalized workspace to a user regardless of their connection method,“ said JD Marymee, director of strategic partner alliances, Management and Services Division at Microsoft Corp. “We’re pleased to welcome RES Software to the System Center Alliance and look forward to continuing our work together bringing solutions to the market and even more value to our mutual customers.”
