Al Monserrat
Chief Executive Officer

Al Monserrat became Chief Executive Officer of RES Software in April 2015, joining RES after a fifteen year career at Citrix Systems, Inc. At Citrix he was part of the executive leadership team that grew the company from hundreds of millions to more than $3B in revenue in 2014. During the past seven years as Citrix’ Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Services, Mr. Monserrat led the global sales and services organization, growing revenues by almost 90 percent. He also served as Citrix’ Vice President of North American Sales, where in three years he more than doubled revenue and led the transformation of field operations into a multiple product and multiple route-to-market organization with a keen customer focus. Previously Mr. Monserrat was in a leadership role with Innovex Group, which was acquired by Citrix, and Accenture.

He holds an MBA from University of Texas and a BS in Computer Science from University of Miami.

Bob Janssen
Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Bob Janssen is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of RES Software. He has been responsible for product vision, strategy and development at RES Software since founding the company in 1999 and acts as the most prominent RES Software spokesperson at industry events. He was instrumental in the creation of the RES Software flagship products, RES Workspace Manager and RES Automation Manager, released in 1999 and 2005, respectively. During his tenure, RES Software has sold well over one million licenses worldwide and his development team has issued more than 10 major releases. Mr. Janssen also holds several patents for the solutions he has developed at RES Software such as the 2010 patent for reverse seamless technology featured in RES Virtual Desktop Extender and other patents dating back to 2003.

Prior to founding RES Software, Mr. Janssen worked in several IT departments where he faced the day to day struggles of managing corporate desktops and delivering IT to users. This firsthand understanding inspired him to create products that solve the problems experienced by IT professionals on a regular basis and to coin the term “Workspace Management.” Bob worked as a System Administrator and later as a Software Developer building pragmatic software solutions using the eXtreme Programming (XP) methodology for Air Liquide, and as an Information Architect for Schenker, where he modeled, designed and supervised the construction of system and enterprise-level application solutions. He holds a Business Computing degree from the Fontys University of Applied Sciences.

Perry C. Smith
Senior Vice President of Engineering

As Senior Vice President of Engineering, Perry is responsible for the global Research and Development team at RES, and for all aspects of the creation of RES products. Perry joined RES in 2015, bringing with him 20+ years of experience envisioning and developing enterprise, web and mobile applications. Throughout his career he has been a hands-on entrepreneurial software executive who has led startups of his own, as well as achieved success in propelling established companies to new levels of customer value and business performance. He has led rapidly growing engineering teams in a career that has spanned McAfee, Kana, Agilysys and Kewill. He holds a master’s degree from Stanford University.

Tracey Mustacchio
Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Tracey is responsible for market strategy at RES Software, plotting the course for the company’s continuing growth and spearheading global product marketing and communication initiatives. Tracey brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, business development and product management to RES Software, in addition to a long track record of helping companies strengthen their brand to dominate specific market niches.

Previously, as VP of WW Marketing for IBM's Information Management division, Tracey was instrumental in developing the company’s stance on big data and analytics. Prior to IBM, Tracey served as Vivisimo's (acquired by IBM) CMO and led all of Vivisimo's marketing and product management functions, including go-to-market strategy, public relations and lead generation. Before Vivisimo, Tracey held senior marketing and product management positions at TraceSecurity, Secure Software (acquired by Fortify Software), McAfee and Business Evolution (acquired by Kana). She also founded and operated her own strategic marketing consultancy that specialized in high-growth companies.

Tracey is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College, and graduated as one of ten Wesleyan Scholars.

Marc Zinnemers
Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at RES Software, Marc Zinnemers is responsible for leading the Corporate Finance, IT and Operations teams, as well as RES Software’s award-winning Support and Services team. He brings to RES Software more than 15 years of operational finance, controlling and management reporting experience in the information technology and advisory industries. 

Prior to RES Software, Mr. Zinnemers was Chief Financial Officer at Blue H Technologies, where he built the company from seed capital phase into a revenue generating company. Previously, Mr. Zinnemers served as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Administration for Gartner IT Research and Advisory Firm, and held the position of EMEA controller for i2 Technologies. 

Additionally, Mr. Zinnemers worked for both Exact Software and Akzo Nobel Pharma Group. He earned his finance degree from the University of Tilburg in The Netherlands.

Gene Bonacci
General Manager and Vice President, Americas

Gene Bonacci is responsible for sales, channel partnerships and technology partnership for RES Software in the Americas.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bonacci has been responsible for managing global sales and strategies for large technology companies and brings more than 15 years of experience in technology sales and leadership to his new role.

Most recently, Mr. Bonacci held the position of Global Vice President of Strategic Sales at Wyse Technology where he was responsible for Strategic Partners and the US Federal market. Prior to Wyse, he led sales efforts at Symantec Software as Global Director of Sales and Endpoint Virtualization. In that position, he focused on sales enablement, training and management coinciding with the global introduction of the Symantec Endpoint Virtualization desktop management solutions. Previously, Mr. Bonacci served as Global Vice President of Sales at AppStream Inc., where he drove significant revenue growth and channel strategy, leading to the company’s acquisition by Symantec.

Monika Bouchalová
Vice President, Human Resources

Monika Bouchalová joined RES Software in August 2007 as Vice President, Human Resources. She has 11 years of experience in the international Human Resources field. She previously held a position as Human Resources Manager EMEA at Progress Software Europe (based in the EMEA Headquarters in Rotterdam). She has experience in international HR, recruitment, international assignments, relocation matters, employment law, compensation & benefits, and employee administration (HR) systems.

Ms. Bouchalová relocated to the Netherlands in 2000. Until then she lived in Prague, The Czech Republic, where she worked for PepsiCo., DuPont, and the Airport Training Center Prague.

Ms. Bouchalová started her education at the Charles University in Prague where she graduated with a Masters degree in English and Education. She then obtained an MBA degree at the Open University, UK.

Gerry de Bruijn
Vice President, Global Services and Customer Success

As Vice President of Global Services and Customer Success, Gerry de Bruijn oversees all customer programs, processes and best practices that contribute to helping enterprise IT departments quickly achieve value from their investment in RES Software. In his role, Mr. de Bruijn focuses on delivering agile services, fanatical support and dynamic enablement programs to valued RES Software customers and partners. He is also responsible for representing the ongoing needs of RES Software customers, including providing direct customer feedback into discussions regarding product roadmaps and RES Software business processes. He also oversees the RES Software customer community and solution assurance programs.

Before taking on his current role, Mr. de Bruijn worked directly with RES Software customers while managing a quickly growing support department. Under his leadership, RES Software has consistently achieved impressive customer satisfaction ratings, including a net promoter score that exceeds industry standards. Prior to joining RES Software, he held a variety of information technology roles for major global organizations, including Rabobank and Intentia (previously Lawson).

Mr. de Bruijn studied computer and information technology at Hogeschool in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He currently works out of the RES Software Americas headquarters.

Carsten Thomsen
Vice President, EMEA

As Vice President, EMEA, Carsten Thomsen is responsible for the RES regional sales teams and sales engineers, as well as the company’s channel organization in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mr. Thomsen joined RES in 2015 after tenure as General Manager of the Midis Group, which oversees a portfolio of businesses devoted to sell and service commercial office equipment, information and telecommunications system and software. Previously he was Vice President, Channels, Sales Programs & Strategy, EMEA, at Citrix Systems, where he led all sales activity in the region for cloud, system integrators, strategic alliances and channel partners.

Mr. Thomsen was also Area Vice President at Citrix, responsible for the Nordic countries. Before his 13-year tenure at Citrix began, he was in sales roles with Hitachi Data Systems and SynergiData A/S.
