Philadelphia, PA, February 17, 2011 — RES Software, the proven leader in dynamic desktop solutions, today announced the availability of Dynamic Desktop Studio Lite, an introductory software suite for companies moving toward a fully dynamic IT environment. The product includes key components from the full RES Dynamic Desktop Studio, including the Composition & Personalization module of RES Workspace Manager and the Task Automation and Resource Provisioning capabilities of RES Automation Manager.

Dynamic Desktop Studio Lite was conceived to help organizations move toward more strategic and cost-effective IT as-a-service models and allows companies to set the stage for future growth. A simplified new modular product structure provides organizations with the flexibility to implement the necessary technology needed today to scale toward more adaptive desktops over time.

The full RES Dynamic Desktop Studio builds on Dynamic Desktop Studio Lite by adding the Advanced Administration and Security & Performance Modules of RES Workspace Manager and the Service Orchestration Module of RES Automation Manager. Service Orchestration handles IT service delivery and return based on business rules and self servicing, a missing link for most organizations.

The current pricing is $45 for Dynamic Desktop Studio Lite and $120 for the complete Dynamic Desktop Studio.
