The vendor's progressive approach to full management of VDI, as opposed to what it calls a 'Big Bang' approach, could appeal to IT shops that will undertake that massive task.

True, Citrix nabbed sepago and Microsoft has addressed some of the worst shortcomings of Roaming Profiles. However, these technologies offer no more than the basic level of functionality. We think RES Software will next address the area of desktop metering and measurement so that virtual desktops might be deployed as a service.
